EDMONTON, AB – Truffle Systems, a Canadian food and beverage technology company, today announced it has been named a winner of the Canadian Food Innovation Network’s (CFIN) 2026 Foodtech Frontier Awards, in the Restaurant Tech category.

A platform built for high-traffic environments

Truffle Systems builds an end-to-end platform for restaurants, theme parks, campus dining, and other high-traffic food service environments, covering point of sale, kitchen operations, self-checkout, and order pickup. The platform is browser-based and runs offline, allowing operators to keep processing orders even without an internet connection.

“This recognition validates a bet we made six years ago on frictionless experiences for food and beverage, before the industry saw it coming,” said Omer Choudhary, CEO and Founder of Truffle Systems.

Built in Canada, competing globally

The company’s broader product line spans ordering to fulfilment, including Autonomous Self-Checkout, its most recent product launch, and the Truffle GoBox, a smart food locker that automates order pickup for guests and delivery drivers, among other tools built for high-traffic food service environments.

Choudhary said consumer buying behaviour is changing fast, with transactions happening across more channels than ever, and pointed to agentic commerce, where intelligent systems handle discovery, ordering, and fulfilment on a consumer’s behalf, as the next frontier in foodtech. The goal, he said, is Canadian technology that competes feature for feature with the best in the world, giving Canadian businesses access to that same level of capability so they can compete with the largest brands while creating and retaining jobs in their communities.

Truffle Systems has expanded internationally in recent years, with deployments now live in Australia alongside its Canadian and U.S. operations.
